The critical issue is always the most difficult to grasp because it is too large to comprehend and too small to notice. But, with quiet and advance the smallest detail may be appreciated and the largest issue may be seen. This is a physical and a mental exercise that is well known to artists and quite addicting. This exhibit presents women in Uzbekistan to an audience that understands detail. These pictures were taken by the artist during a recent trip to Central Asia in 2013. They are intended to preserve the detail of place while replacing the tyranny with quiet. Thus, place becomes a new regime and these women become agents of the change. The artist is a disabled veteran and a PhD in Geography.
