The current situation and the fallout of comrades within our - TopicsExpress

The current situation and the fallout of comrades within our struggle is something which all of us need to understand. We need to understand it from this viewpoint. In 1999, we launched the MDC, but there were men and women who had sacrificed long manhours, in consultations across the width and bredth of the country. There were ordinary workers, students, CSOs, business, farmers, villagers and we gathered somewhere in Belvedere, in what became known as The Working Peoples Convention. And by the way that was way way before the launch at Rufaro Stadium. We sat and looked at our saituation then, the cost of living, DRC war and its effects, the WarVets Compensation among other issues. We had this idea that we had to do something. We resolved to form a party, our own party. And comrades, this is the party, and we called it MDC. So we launched it, we attended the first congress, ngale eChitungwiza. We adopted the constitution that we had delegated some amongst us to draft. We had given them this duty, having armed them with our expectations. I will share with you some of those expectations tomorrow.
