The date has been set for my first knee replacement surgery. It is set for July 16th at Memorial... This will be on my left knee. The surgery on my right knee can be done three months later if all goes well on the left one. As I have known for way too long, both knees are totally worn out and has been bone on bone since as long as 1998. A lot of damage already done but the doctor said he could fix some of it during the surgery. He will be putting shots in the left bursa and right knee to hopefully help with the excess strain during the healing process. I really like the surgeon and think that choosing him has been a wise choice...even though I had to wait seven weeks for an appointment with him and have to wait amost 6 weeks until he has an opening to do the surgery. He has a great personality and came very highly recommended. Trusting the Great Physician to use the hands of Dr Dement to fix my painful and worn out old knees.
