The day 2 outlook has been released from the Storm Prediction Center and it shows an increasing and expanding significant severe threat for Sunday. I have included 2 images. The first shows the outlook areas; the green is slight risk and the red is moderate risk. The second image is the probabilities. Over much of Iowa this shows a 30% hatched area of a severe threat. This means that there is a 30% chance of severe weather within 25 miles of any given point. The hatched area means that there is a 10% or greater probability of significant severe weather within 25 miles of a point. At this times all modes of severe weather look possible. Stay tuned over the coming hours and days for continuous updates on this potential severe weather outbreak.
