The day we figure out its not about the new clothes, the most expensive cars, the nicest house, and the latest ipad, it will then be easier for us to pay attention to why we are truly on earth. To LOVE and serve a great God, to LOVE and serve your neighbors, and our community. Once we realize that the people we are surrounded by…are far more important than what money can buy, this world we will be a much better place. You can’t buy great company, or laughs, can’t buy hugs, or memories, you must make them. If we take a few seconds out of our busy day to pay attention to those surrounding us, someone other than our self then there may be hope for all humanity after all. There is always a blessing God is trying to give, never a burden. If we embrace and SHARE all that we are blessed with, and less of what we are burdened by then we will all be at a happier place. Once we realize that we do NOT have to be perfect to be loved by God. Once we realize, we shouldn’t be blinded by Thou shall not, and we realize that he is not going to ask you to be stop doing what you’re doing, or point his finger at you in disappointment but once you choose to follow him, you will WANT to be a better person because of him. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO ENTER CHURCH, because ALL OF US are IMPERFECT entering church. If you felt judged at the last church, try another. Don’t give up on God because that particular church gave up on you or didn’t satisfy your thirst. God is still here, he never left; he is waiting for you. Church shouldn’t be tainted with the vision of sitting up straight in church, in a pew, with a hymn, quietly listening. Church can be SO much more now more than ever, those Churches that will excite you again are popping up everywhere, full of imperfect people seeking love and acceptance. I have invited several people to Elevation Church the past two weeks, none of them showed, but that does not discourage me. One of them said to me … `No thank you, but never give up`. And I won’t give up, because God has not given up on me. Don’t give up on the people, love them for who they are, where they come from, what they have done, and what they will do…. love them through it. Don’t segregate from those around you, just because there different or may not be as Godly as you are, or may be less fortunate. Be Godly today, and show someone whom you wouldn’t normally talk to, that they shouldn’t give up on humanity, the love of God is still here and let them know there are kind people in this world who care. – love, me
