The days of just being in a band and playing in a room with your friends are long dead. Everything these days is just about paying for pr campaigns, paying for management (in our case conned), ticket deals, paying someone ridiculous amounts to book a tour for you, people that owe your band money and never pay and Facebook likes and in reality its not worth it and doesnt make you feel the way just playing with your friends like back in the early days did. I know my band are certainly not exempt from being the above which is why I honestly, have no interest in any of those anymore. Weve been conned with fake label deals, ripped off by management (conmen) weve paid for and paid thousands to be on tours with bands we didnt get a choice with and not one of those things were worth it like you dreamed of when you were just jamming in the early days. I really hope it all changes soon as people always say its a shame when bands break up or people leave. This is probably 9/10 the reason they do.
