Though anyone whos faced the 10-mile sea of red taillights that is Rt. 267 would kill to get the orange line to, say...Leesburg. When I lived in Alexandria they had something called the piranha pool- a variation on the carpool. People would stand around the metro stops outside the beltway. Drivers with parking in the District but not enough passengers to get in the HOV lane would pull over and pick up few. Now its gone viral.
