The decision has been made. Tracey and I, with the counsel and encouragement of Dr. McCollum, decided to start my next round / series of chemo treatments next Thursday. We will be taking a reduced dose of chemo for 4 weeks and then Dr. McCollum will order a PET scan in order to determine where we are in the battle. Your prayers and the combined wisdom you provided were a God send to my family and me. Simple questions like Sue Mallory posed, “How did the chemo work during the last round?” were instrumental in our decision making progress. As I have shared, the doctors say what I have is chronic so, according to them, it is not going away. Yes…Jesus can heal me however I am not certain that is in His perfect plan for me and I am completely OK with this. Therefore, if this is the case, then we must approach our treatment plan from the perspective of this being a marathon…not a sprint.
