The dementia awareness seminar designed for the Enfield African Communities We are delighted to invite you and your network partners including local BAME individual(s) to be our guest at the dementia awareness seminar designed for the Enfield African Communities. OBCT and Enfield African Forum are working in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society UK, and are delighted to specifically invite you/your network partners/local residence to this dementia awareness seminar to be held on 7th Feb 2014 and taking place at 287 Fore Street, Edmonton, London, N9 0PD. You will be specifically interested to learn more about the dementia condition and the associated memory problems as they affect individual members of our community. Join us to Lead the fight against dementia, to plan and to develop our strategic approaches against increased numbers of Africans and other minority groups in the UK who will be affected by dementia, and to collectively design how we can work in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society cooperatively to address this condition within our communities. Including how we can make a joint funding application, Bids and tender for commissioning opportunities as a way forward. In addition to the dementia awareness information seminar: You will be specifically interested in Peter Lovell: Chief Executive of North London Credit Union topic and discussions on how we aim to work and develop our own Credit Union, by working in partnership with North London Credit Union as a SIG, managing and dealing in majority of the North London Credit Union products for our various communities and individuals benefits; such as assisting in opening an account for those without/refused by the mainstream Banks; encouraging savings for raining days, providing money management advice, opening business start-up Loans accounts etc within our various groups.
