The demons in too deep... Tim Keller. What a great phrase to describe the cultural change in the past 50 years. Keller convincingly argues that our methods of evangelism are no longer effective. The church post reformation had it easy in a way. Its task being to awaken or stir up the consciences of individuals conditioned by Christian teaching, and to applying those truths about God, sin, faith and eternity personally. But today that Christianised conscience is not there en mass. The truth claims are no longer accepted. The gospel narrative no longer makes sense. It is to this generation, and to this gigantic task that we have been called to be a witness to the truth claims of Jesus Christ.
