The difference between ALTER and ALTAR: One takes a garment to a seamstress to be be ALTERed (changed/adjusted; ALTERations). One takes self to the ALTAR (place of worship) to pray that ones life is ALTERed for the honor and glory of God . . . . because I believe She cries flames of fire when we use the wrong version of this word in a sentence. In the spirit of my friend Miss SIMPLY WORSHIP Marica Chisolm: A kangaroo in Australia jumps into a pool of Nutella every time someone gets these words confused. So, I challenge you, children of the Most High, to ALTER your understanding of these two words . . . so none of us end up on the ALTAR praying for your deliverance. #SaveTheAnimals #GoodMorning!
