The documentary Channel Doc Accelerator Scholarship Program helps six to eight emerging documentary filmmakers from across Canada accelerate their careers. The program consists of an intensive Festival-based curriculum and an extended mentorship job training opportunity. The goal of the program is to foster a new generation of Canadian documentary filmmakers by providing real-world skills development and economic opportunities within the documentary film, television and digital media industries. To be eligible you must be a recent graduate of a post-secondary film, television or digital media program, not be currently enrolled as a student, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada legally entitled to work, available to work flexible hours for the duration of the mentorship period, April 2015 - April 2016, and able to attend the Hot Docs Festival, April 23 to May 3, 2015, in person.
