The dumb ones who stick to party lines and tribal lines are many, - TopicsExpress

The dumb ones who stick to party lines and tribal lines are many, not few. The majority of Ghanaians are either uneducated or semi educated and do not read between the lines(that is why a group of politicians dont want to revolutionarize education in Ghana). Politicians have succeeded over the years to make these unfortunate brothers and sisters see politics like a soccer tournament, fans go to the game and shout themselves hoarse for their teams and then go back home after the game to their challenges and poverty. Most of them therefore dont see that it is about their very lives, thats why you can hear comments like when ur party was in power didnt they do the same things. Its not about them, its about how the leaders of their party are working hard to out do the other party in making this country worse off. And Kofi, its going to take a mass movement to make our politicians sit up. The people would have to understand that it is all about them and not party for such a thing to work. The labour front is one area that could be the vehicle, but politicians always find a way to compromise the leadership. Forget about reminding them, cos they wont listen, cant u see the impunity with which they operate. For them its making sure they can always divide the people and rule them, its not about making life worth living for us. We are rather serving the people we put in office to serve us, thats why they can come and tell us that after paying them GhC 8000 they dont have accommodation, whiles many many Ghanaians earn below GhC 800 and do well to find accommodation, and many many more are jobless. WE ALL NEED TO RISE UP ONE MORNING AND SAY WE SHALL ALL STAY AT HOME TILL CERTAIN THINGS ARE DONE, it would make them sit up. ~ DadaGilly Wiredu
