The eXec Factor (2014) North West Business Leaders swapped the Board room for the stage for one night only. In a talent show like no other, they performed poetry, drama, music and more in a bid to win the audiences vote and be crowned the winner of the eXec-Factor. The event was part of Contact and the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) celebrating a fantastic year of working together, following Contact winning the NWBLT’s prestigious Lever Prize 2014. Contact’s young performers made quite an impression on the executives who signed up, including the likes of Juergen Maier, UK Chief Executive at Siemens. The execs were mentored by some of the young artists - Keisha Thompson, Martin Stannage, Lucy Jackson and Olivia Peers - who make up Contact’s team of Creative Experts, in a bid to hone their performance skills for the event. The high-powered line-up included Charles Lauder, Joint MD of Talawa Consulting and Chair of the Contact Board and Juergen Maier, Chief Executive of Siemens PLC; Geoffrey Piper, Chief Executive of NWBLT; Jonathan Collins, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Electricity North West and Loose Covers, the band fronted by Rod Coombs, the Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Manchester. The event was hosted by special guest compere Mrs. Barbara Nice (Janice Connolly, Phoenix Nights) and also featured performances from Contact’s young artist mentors.
