WE ARE DECEIVED BY STREET BEGGARS! Beloved family I have a problem. I am a very compassionate person and I help needy people. Today I learnt that sometimes we help people who do not deserve to be helped. People take us for a ride and we help them because God in his infinite mercy gave us good, caring hearts. Three weeks back I was in a private municipal parking area in Polokwane, just near the Polokwane municipal offices. Before I came out of my car; a gentleman whose statement convinced me; approached my Corolla Verso. He asked me for money, because he was desperate. His statement was that he came to the Polokwane Provincial Hospital with his wife, they got a break down and had to buy a car Carburetor which cost them R815-00. He needed R 20 - 00 for bread and cold drink, so that he and his wife together with their child can get something into their stomachs while the car is being fixed, then being the kind of person that I am, I gave him R50-00 instead of R20 - 00. Today the 02 April 2014 after 3 weeks at the same parking, the same gentleman approached. His story is still the same. He still talks about coming to the hospital in Polokwane; had a breakdown; bought a carburetor; has no one he knows around; comes from Gauteng and is asking for money to buy food. He forgot about me. He doesnt even remember that I gave him R50-00 for the same reasons. I told him straight that I know who he is and that I once helped him in the same parking and I am very sad to realise that he was deceiving me. HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE BEING DECEIVED EACH DAY BY THESE PEOPLE.
