The early bird discount for the CFC Communications & Leadership - TopicsExpress

The early bird discount for the CFC Communications & Leadership Training Event in Shreveport ENDS TOMORROW. Heres a long bit that will tell you WHY your students/children need to attend. In the comments, Ill tell you a bit about what theyll do. Why study communication? Not every child is going to go into politics or become an attorney. So why should they learn to speak in public? Studies have shown that only 5% of Americans say they are ready and willing to take the public platform. Stop and think about it—this means the other 95% of Americans have to listen to the 5% who stand up and speak. Our goal is to equip Christian students to become that 5%, ready and willing to share the hope of Christ with the world around them. We want students who can engage with the messages our culture communicates and graciously communicate the hope within them. ICC training events offer advanced training for communicators of all levels. Join us at one of this year’s conferences to practice skill-building techniques, grow leadership skills, discover unique communication opportunities, and gain insight as a Christian communicator! Our school-friendly two-day schedule covers numerous types of communication and challenges students to try new styles of speaking. Regardless of their level of experience, students engage with debate, platform speaking, storytelling, and limited preparation speaking, helping them communicate with confidence in a variety of situations. What do our students need to know NOW to prepare for their FUTURE? The CFC conference trains students in: oral and written communication teamwork problem solving These are the skills senior executives, surveyed by the American Association of Colleges and Universities, determined were the most needed for new hires. This event begins to train students in these important skills while casting a vision to think Biblically and speak culturally wherever they find themselves in life. Students ages 6-18 will engage in activities, workshops, and exercises in a safe, mentoring environment where peers model servant-leadership and respect. Parents and teachers receive their own training, gaining tools to encourage and train young Christian communicators and leaders.
