If youre still undecided, I encourage you to read about both candidates at the following link so that you can make an informed decision: mlive/voterguide/ Among the many reasons that I encourage you to vote for Mark Schauer, I want to highlight his commitment to the responsible and effective delivery of mental health services. If Snyder remains governor, he plans to privatize mental health services, despite this having failed in other states. Put simply, this would result in about a 20% budget cut for Community Mental Health agencies across the state with a private company taking over to call the shots. This would lead to a mental health system that prioritizing profits over reaching the neediest individuals and a reduction in the quality and range of offered services. As governor, Mark Schauer will fight to ensure that all Michiganders continue to have access to vital mental health services. Whether youre a mental health service provider, have a loved one that receives services, or are just a concerned citizen, you have a stake in this election.
