The engineers and conductors working for the Wheeling and Lake Eire Railroad went on strike this morning at 5:00AM. A federal judge ordered them back to work earlier in the day, but they are getting help in slowing down the railroad from sympathizers. A WLE train asked for permission to cross the diamond with CSX and the CSX dispatcher made them identify as union members asking why they were working. CSX has been holding the crossing permission for over an hour now and held one up for two hours earlier today. This is why I hate unions.
