The entire supermarket business goes out of its way so that youre not reminded of where your food came from. Of the many food-oriented movies that have come out over the past decade, THIS is the one I am most excited about. My personal metamorphosis from eating a standard American diet to becoming an advocate for a more just and less toxic food system was the direct result of seeing Cesar Chavez speak and realizing the many ways farm workers are kept invisible and treated as if their lives are disposable. ENOUGH! I feel enraged by this issue. Lets show up in theaters in droves, educate ourselves, demand change, and not give up until farm workers get the dignity and wages they deserve. As Chavez often said, Si, se peued. Yes, we can! I just submitted a request for Terra to host a screening of this movie a the Pickford Film Center. Hopefully, we can make this happen here in Bellingham! - ST
