The entrepreneurial mindset — the curiosity and courage to take the path less trodden, to seek new ways of solving problems — is where Singapore has yet to catch up with other countries like the United States, said entrepreneur Grace Sai, co-founder of The HUB Singapore, a for-profit social enterprise helping budding entrepreneurs. “Other cities may have more people with an appetite for risk and the entrepreneurial spirit, but they may not have the top-class human capital and talent that Singapore has,” Ms Sai said. “It’s just about changing our definition of success.” “(Entrepreneurship) really is a mindset of experimenting, taking action and being persistent,” added Ms Dawn Toh, Communications Curator at The HUB Singapore.
