The euro-American viewpoint of life is heavily influenced by an evolutionary-survival of the strongest theory. Those on top deserve to be there due to their intelligence and ability. The other liberal perspective sees conflict in the resources based on the power of the dominant nation to dictate to the weaker. However, democracy does not change the power disparity and injustice. Some Muslim activists have taken the view that all is the decree of Allah, including the position of the kufr systems over the Muslim world. This view essentially says our ummah is in its right place becomes it deserves it, get as much of the material crumbs as you can. This is why it is important to have an Islamic perspective of revival. Islam never told us to accept our current status as an ummah and always warned us of the conflict between Allah and the enemies of Allah. In this life there is no higher goal than the re-establishment of Allahs deen on this earth.
