The events dedicated to the State Flag Day on November 9, 2014 at “Ekol Engineering Services” CJSC “Ekol Engineering Services” CJSC carried out the following events dedicated to the State Flag Day - November 9 at its production sites on November 07, 2014. The speakers at the events have noted that the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted by the Government of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on November 09, 1918 at the session and had state statute until April, 1920. That flag has been confirmed as the State Flag of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the session conducted on November 17, 1990 under the leadership of the National Leader and the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Heydar Aliyev. On February 05, 1991, the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan Republic adopted a new law about the State Flag of the Azerbaijan Republic and was declared it as the State Flag. On October 18, 1991, Azerbaijan Republic has restored the state symbols including the State Flag as the legal successor of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in terms of adopted the “Constitutional Law on the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan”. The following decrees issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev about the establishment of the State Flag Square in Baku on November 17, 2007 and the establishment of State Flag Day in the country on November 17, 2009. Since that time on November 9, every year is being celebrated as the day of State Flag in the country. The speakers spoke more about the key attributes of the state, its symbols & holiness and have congratulated all the staff members for this holiday. It was noted that the duty of every citizen is to hold the flag high as the symbol of our national honor, protect the honor and dignity of our flag, instill a sense of love to the flag by the young generation and etc. The participants stressed confidently that our native lands will be liberated and our tricolor flag will also be hoisted with determination in the territory of Karabakh as a result of the purposeful policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev. At the end, the video clip about the State Flag Day was demonstrated for the participants at the events.
