The exactness of the process of evolution can be recognized by considering our sense of smell and taste - the oldest of all senses. What is it that happens when we experience a taste or smell? The size and vibration of molecules are recognized and attributed a value which is determined by experience and by the genetics that build tongue, nasal membranes and brain. Sweet, salt, and bitter are sensations occurring in the brain created through evolution to direct our eating and our behaviour by using rewards and punishments. We are the descendants of all the correct decisions in this regard.
