The excitement is mounting as the Baxter Theatre Centre and Scenkonst Sörmlands dynamic collaboration of Struck Silent is being created in Sweden where the production will have its world premier before heading to the Baxter Flipside for a very short season from 9 to 13 September at 6.30pm. From the team that created the highly successful I Hit the Ground Running last year, comes this second instalment which focusses on seniors and looks at second lives, post-retirement, fulfilling unrealised dreams and the relationship between them and the systems which are in place. South African choreographer Ananda Fuchs once again teams with Swedish composer Tebogo Monnakgotla to create this new work of contemporary dance, live music and theatre. The production features dancers Gunilla Hammar (Sweden) and Shaun Oelf and Thabisa Dinga from Cape Town and musicians Åsa Karlberg (flute), Elemér Lavotha (cello) and Jonny Axelsson (percussion), all from Sweden. Grant van Ster is the assistant choreographer. NOT TO BE MISSED. Book at Computicket today. Contact Sharon or Carmen for discounted block-bookings on 021 685 7880.
