Tsuji to the Agriculture committee chair position. Remember he will probably not be there so you will be leaving a RECORDED message so please choose your words wisely. Here is an example of a message opposing the appointment: Aloha Representative Joe Souki, my name is (your name) and I am a registered voter in (your town) calling to ask you please, do not appoint Representative Clift Tsuji as House Agriculture Chair. I oppose the appointment of Clift Tsuji to Ag Chair because there is a clear conflict of interest due to his blatant ties to the agrochemical industry. It would be extremely inappropriate as Rep. Tsuji has taken over $17,000 from chemical and genetic engineering crop companies and their registered lobbyists. He was also awarded by the worlds largest biotech trade organization as legislator of the year for blocking any GE or pesticide regulation. This is a serious ethical concern and unacceptable conflict of interest. Tens of thousands of Hawaii residents are deeply concerned about these GE pesticide companies using Hawaii as an outdoor chemical and genetic laboratory without independent health or environmental safety studies. Please do not put Hawaiis agriculture in the hands of a known agrochemical industry proponent receiving thousands of dollars from pesticide GE companies. In order to avoid clear conflict of interest, please do NOT appoint Rep. Clift Tsuji to the House Agriculture Chairmanship.
