The facts of this incident have not all been revealed. However, it appears as if Officer Wilson responded to his attack with the appropriate use of force to stop the deadly threat. Mike Brown fractured Officer Wilsons eye socket while Officer Wilson fought for his life as Brown attempted to disarm him in his vehicle. Brown disengaged and then rushed back towards Officer Wilson after he drew his weapon at Brown. It is always a tragedy when a law enforcement officer is forced to take a life. It is tragic for the officer, the department, and the community. What makes this entire case even more tragic is that the misinformation, likely spread by a hand full of people in the immediate local neighborhood, has swelled to enrage thousands and has turned into an embarrassment for our entire country. What makes it so embarrassing for our country is that people immediately let emotional reactions overwhelm any sense of objective reasoning. This is not about the left or the right, or black or white, it is about being able to critically analyze an event from an objective stand point. Cut the emotions and let the facts dictate your response.
