The failure of Detroit to maintain the water system has led to legal withdrawal from the citys water system by Oakland County. This has cost Detroit millions of dollars. The rampant theft of the city by its elected officials and employees should not penalize the citizens of the City who rely on their services. Michigan has an all time high unemployment rate. The State should address this in the way companies are shutting off utilities during the Winter. This is a life and death issue. Citizens are not responsible for the criminal neglect and greed of its officials. Once again there needs to be a nationalized board that overseas all city infrastructures that can identify thievery in its infancy and stop the raping and pillaging of the countries cities by greedy politicians. wsws.org/en/articles/2014/03/22/dwsd-m22.html
