Things are going to work slightly different in Houston. Antonio Castillo is going to serve as our drop off in Houston. He has laid some groundwork and is ready to go. In Houston, were going through the United Church of Christ - a very progressive church that will also network with other UCC churches and other faith temples. Several Hispanic Pentecostal and Evangelical churches will also assist along with various Atheist and Pagan groups. Matthew 25 will lead the effort with 200 backpacks filled with hygiene items and an additional task of diapers, stuffed animals and infant care items. When all items are in, preparation, sorting, and distribution will take several days. Items will go to locations in Houston and Conroe. If we have a turn out that is more than expected, the extras will go to the Rio Grande Valley - McAllen. This is going to be a very large effort and will network with many groups. We have a bit more time to accomplish this. We have been doing each area in about 3 weeks. For the Houston effort we will be taking 5-6 weeks because the list is so extensive. Im very excited about the new opportunities Matthew 25 has to network with multiple groups in Houston. As has been proven, over and again, people want to help..they just need a way to do so.
