The families of passengers of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has launched a campaign to raise US$5 million (RM16.3 million) via crowdsourcing to reward whistleblowers for information on the location of the plane, which has been missing for three months today. In a statement, the families announced the fund raiser would be launched on indiegogo. “This mystery is unprecedented in aviation history, and we need to work as a collective community with one goal of finding the truth, the plane and the passengers,” said Ethan Hunt, the project leader. The affected families said part of the funds would be used on investigation services to follow up on leads. The reward will be paid to the person or firm who provides the information which leads to the recovery of MH370 and all aboard, the statement said.
