The famous Taiwanese author Li Ao (李敖) was spot on when 10 years ago in his own TV show he said that peoples of the archipelago/island nations (such as the Philippines) are petty, short sighted, greedy and ungrateful. And today the words of the radiographer named Ed Mundsel Bello Ello and before that, the death threats made by a Filipino waiter called Topher Yazuka, offensive remarks made by Rachelle Ann Beguia, discriminatory hiring practices by a Filipino head chef of La Fondue Restaurant in Dempsey Road and attempts by the PIDC to hold their Independence Day Celebration in Orchard Road in violation of our National Constitution and Sovereignty as well as a highly offensive poster showing Filipino soldiers lifting the Philippine National Flag in Shenton Way,had only proven Li Aos words right. Instead of being grateful and thankful to the Singapore side for giving them a second chance in life, some Pinoys had become arrogant and condescending and backed by the ruling PAP establishment and the local Mainstream Media, they simply thought they are indispensable and are now openly starting a gradual style Philippine invasion and colonization of our country,Singapore. It is simply because the Pinoys had believed Singaporeans, especially those who voted for PAP,to be ball less and spineless that they believed they could test the limits bit by bit and boundaries piece by piece.Try doing the same thing in South Korea and I bet the Koreans with their Taekwondo skills would give the Pinoys a kick in their ass. Anyone who had followed international news would also be aware of the friction China and Taiwan had with the Philippines over the islands dispute and the harassment of Chinese fishermen by the Philippine Coast Guard and Navy in the South China Sea and the shooting and killing of Taiwanese fishermen by the Philippine Coast Guard. In the latter case, the Philippine side had displayed arrogance and indifference in the aftermath of the incident. It was only with strong diplomatic pressure from Taipei (backed by Beijing) and trade and economic sanctions, only did Manlia relent and agree to cooperate with Taipei in the investigation of the killings and offer some compensation. Today we Singaporeans, especially the 60.1%,had paid a very high price for voting and supporting one political party and allowing one family to grow unfettered in power and wealth all these decades. The price is very high because not only are we selling out our own future and sovereignty to foreigners,we are also allowing foreigners like the Pinoys to walk all over us in our own homeland. Hopefully there is still time for us to correct all these within a years time.In the next General Election due to be called next year.May God save Singapore.
