The federal government cost this oncologist and his wife, who is also his office manager, all of their assets to fight the charges and a huge hit to his professional reputation. Now, they suddenly decide to drop all the charges -- WITH prejudice -- which means the government cannot decide later to go back and prosecute them again on these same charges. Now where do they go to restore their reputation, to say nothing of the money they had to expend in legal fees in order to fight the charges?
