"The final annual Feast of Scripture is The Feast of Tabernacles, - TopicsExpress

"The final annual Feast of Scripture is The Feast of Tabernacles, also called the Feast of Ingathering or the Feast of Booths. It is the harvest celebration. It is called the Feast of Booths because people dwelt in temporary structures such as booths or tents for the duration of the Feast. This Feast is found in the seventh month of the Scriptural year and is again identified with a reference to the new moon. You cannot properly find the seventh month, unless you can properly find the first month . . . and the first DOES NOT start in January. The Feast of Tabernacles starts the fifteenth day of the seventh month and lasts again for a period of seven days, regardless of the weekly cycle. At the end of the Feast of Tabernacles there is one last special day called, The Last Great Day!! What do you think that day is all about? You can read more about the feasts and the Scriptural system of time in Leviticus Chapter 23. You may want to read Chapters 23, 24, 25 and 26. Notice, there are no Scriptural commands for feasts in Winter. Travel would be cumbersome and a hardship. It is not the way Our Creator does things. The Feasts are welcomed events! People gather from many different geographic areas to share, study and enjoy each others company in addition to good food and the blessings we have received. If you have never celebrated these Feasts or enjoyed the comradery and sharing that takes place with others of like mind and hearts, you no doubt have been deprived of the opportunity and enjoyment of true and proper worship. The commanded Feasts of Scripture are also significant in many other respects. Let us take a few moments to reflect on some of them. The final Feast of the Scriptural year is the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles commemorates the harvest. It is a time set apart for celebrating all that has been given and all that the earth has brought forth. Although this is still a commanded and celebrated Feast from the Old Testament, it is the only Feast that has NOT YET BEEN FULFILLED in the New Testament. This Feast promises to be the great gathering, the harvesting of His chosen. THE FINAL HARVEST! The fruit of the earth will be harvested as it never has before and the chaff and the stubble that remain, go to the fire prepared for them. “So shall it be at the end of the age: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matt 13:49-50 How important is this system of time? Could it be that obedience to it is used to identify the wicked from the just? . . . If the harvest hasn’t happened yet, should we still look in anticipation of it? If it hasn’t happened, how could it “have been done away with”? Those churches who preach, “The Law has been done away,” cannot possibly offer a deeper understanding of the Law. Their ignorance defines their source of knowledge and allegiance. They are pleased to get you to come back each week and listen to nice stories, but there is little substance in what they teach or preach. They are, as the Scriptures indentify, “tinkling cymbals” or “whitewashed sepulchers” white churches that are clean and nice on the outside, but full of dead men’s bones on the inside. Do you really think Yahweh’s system of time doesn’t fit His plan for us? He tells us it is a sign between Him and His people forever! There is no amount of deception that can change the Law that keeps the heavenly bodies in their orbit and in harmony with each other, ticking precisely as a finely crafted clock for the universe to look upon. Tick, Tock. . . Tick, Tock. Only your submission to ignorance and deception will keep you away from Yahweh’s appointments in time and His blessings. Will you meet with Him at His appointed time? Will you be in His Harvest? . . . our Celebration?" ~Christianity Unmasqued, Chapter 6: It’s About Time
