The final outing of the year was the postponed President’s Prize (Alan Byrne) and was held on the 9th of November at Ballykisteen Golf Club. There was a fine turnout of 31 players despite the weather conditions in the build up to the big day. Despite the wet weather a number of players came in with 40pts plus scores. In the end it came down to a showdown between Gerry Ryan and Peter Coleman. Gerry with a score of (45pts-4) 41pts beat Peter (42pts-1) 41pts with a better back nine. Congratulations Gerry. It did not end there for Gerry. He was one of the main contenders for Player of the Year along with Seamus Rochford, Ger Byrne and Martin Collins.
