The final paragraph of my paper: Are we daft? Have we become Susan? No, we haven’t. After all, we recognize our mortality; we embrace the kiss of death as an old friend. At one time, we will reunite with the lost, those that had met their fate earlier than our own, or later if that be the case. In the end, we reunite with our creator; our savior, whose name various over the course of our exposure; there is a place for us, much like the garden islands of Perelandra. We see the faces of those we once lost, knowing that no longer they disappear in front of our eyes. We feel the embrace of love, we feel the embrace of communication between ourselves. But before we arrive, we lie in a bed or some other device. We don’t know how we get to where we are meant to arrive, but that does not bother us. As our mortal lives fade out of existence, our bodies becoming whole, we hear the voice call out to us and say “ it is finished”. And for those we leave behind, have little fear. They may mourn our passing, but we shall see them again in due time. For we live on, in two places at once. We live with each other, in the presence of Aslan, and we live in the hearts of those left behind. After all, we’re all just stories in the end.
