The final results from Marion County in the Nov. 4 General Election are as followed: • In the U.S. Senator race, Republican Shelley Moore Capito received 7,329 votes (50.86 percent); Democrat Natalie Tennant received 6,575 votes (45.62 percent); Libertarian John S. Buckley received 274 votes (1.90 percent); Mountain Party representative Bob Henry Baber received 155 votes (1.08 percent); and Constitution Party representative Phil Hudok received 69 votes (0.48 percent) in Marion County out of 77 precincts. • In the U.S. House of Representatives 1st Congressional District race, Republican David McKinley received 7,631 votes (55.05 percent) and Democrat Glen B. Gainer III received 6,213 votes (44.82 percent) in Marion County out of 77 precincts. • In the State Senator 2nd Senatorial District race, Republican Kent Leonhardt received 1,355 votes (51.92 percent); Democrat Jarry John Edgell received 1,183 votes (45.33 percent); and Constitution Party representative Jeffrey Frank Jarrell received 72 votes (2.76 percent) in Marion County out of 19 precincts. • In the State Senator 13th Senatorial District race, Republican Kris Warner received 5,701 votes (51.55 percent); Democrat Bob Beach received 5,026 votes (45.45 percent); and Harry V. Bertram received 322 votes (2.91 percent) in Marion County out of 58 precincts. • In the House of Delegates 49th Delegate District race, Democrat Mike Manypenny received 157 votes (50.32 percent) and Republican Amy Summers received 155 votes (49.68 percent) in Marion County out of one precinct. • In the House of Delegates 50th Delegate District race, the top three candidates were elected. Democrat Mike Caputo received 7,264 votes (19.09 percent); Democrat Linda Longstreth received 6,726 votes (17.68 percent); Democrat Tim Manchin received 6,255 votes (16.44 percent); Republican Barry Bledsoe received 5,942 votes (15.62 percent); Republican Phil Mallow received 5,751 votes (15.12 percent); Republican Bobbie Triplett II received 4,586 votes (12.05 percent); and Libertarian Michael Ray received 1,507 votes (3.96 percent) in Marion County out of 76 precincts. • In the Marion County Circuit Clerk race, Democrat Rhonda Starn received 7,816 votes (56.51 percent) and Republican Guy Ward received 6,006 votes (43.42 percent) in Marion County out of 77 precincts. • In the Marion County Commissioner race, Democrat Rick Garcia received 8,380 votes (60.44 percent) and Republican William “Bill” Burdick received 5,444 votes (39.26 percent) in Marion County out of 77 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council 1st District race, Marianne Moran received 1,875 votes (50.85 percent) and Robert “Bob” Gribben received 1,801 votes (48.85 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council 3rd District race, Rob Linger received 2,587 votes (99.50 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council 5th District race, Fran Warner received 1,173 votes (31.41 percent); Charles “Chuck” Hillberry received 868 votes (23.24 percent); Houston Richardson received 597 votes (15.98 percent); Richard “Rick” McElroy received 473 votes (12.66 percent); David Ice received 378 votes (10.12 percent); and Bill Fincham received 233 votes (6.24 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council 8th District race, Tom Mainella received 2,591 votes (72.56 percent) and Aaron Ashley received 972 votes (27.22 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council 9th District race, Ronald J. Straight Sr. received 2,059 votes (54.53 percent) and Kandi Nuzum received 1,709 votes (45.26 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council unexpired 2nd District race, Frank Yann received 1,734 votes (46.15 percent); Monica Yaremchuk-Delbrook received 1,191 votes (31.70 percent); and Michael Ragen received 824 votes (21.93 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In the Fairmont City Council unexpired 7th District race, Phil Mason received 1,178 votes (32.55 percent); Jamie Greene received 977 votes (27 percent); Don Chapman received 825 votes (22.80 percent); and Jeremiah Rivera received 626 votes (17.30 percent) in Marion County out of 25 precincts. • In Marion County out of 77 precincts, 9,183 votes (65 percent) were for the Constitutional Amendment and 4,944 (35 percent) were against the ConstitutionalAmendment.
