The first Maryland deaths related to hypothermia this season have been reported, according to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME). The five deaths occurred between mid-November and mid-December. There were 15 hypothermia-related deaths in Maryland during the 2013-2014 winter weather season.
