The first beetles are being fabricated in sheet bronze and tacked together to establish the angles and arrangement of the larger structure. While the flat sides and rear sections are already finished, the front panels are shaped using repoussé - an ancient technique of alternating annealing and beating. The form and texture resemble both water and draped linen. The folds of each element are laid out using the Golden Section and will form a continuous pattern when assembled.
