The first day of ITUs 5 day Cloud Computing Workshop was a great success! Over 30 participants were in attendance; including senior academics, senior IT professionals, students and public sector employees. The workshop facilitator, Dr. Sohail Aslam- a renowned academic & IT Professional working with NASA- introduced participants to some underlying themes of cloud computing and introduced them to Amazon’s Web Services (Cloud). The session was very interactive, with participants asking questions, deliberating points and discussing ideas. ITU Vice Chancellor Dr. Umar Saif was also in attendance. Haseeb Anwar Virk, one of the organizers, said that the workshop is a very exciting experience as the future of all data-related activities lies in cloud computing.
