The first few nights my husband is away, I look forward to the alone-time. Just me and the dog, a couple of cozy quilts, girly TV and my evening bowl of hot popcorn. I cant wait to use the funny dome-shaped popcorn maker. It makes perfect popcorn. It usually sits unused in my kitchen cabinet. He gave it to me because I love popcorn. He hates it now (or maybe he hates the few corn kernels that make their way under the sheets). But by the end of the week, the dog is staring longingly at the front door and Im tired of popcorn. He has returned home tonight. The dog cant stop wagging her tail. I ordered his favorite pizza.
