The first internationally collaborated long-term study on GMO corn and glyphosate/Roundup has launched. Dr. Bruce Blumberg, of UC Irvine, sits on the review board, has helped to design the study. The 2 1/2 - 3 year study will cover toxicity (both acute and chronic), carcinogenicity (cancer) as well as the potential multi-generational effects (infertility and birth defects). The study, which will cost $25 million and will be conducted in Western Europe and Russia, is almost fully funded.
