The first photo was just before we set off to the vets. I have seen many a cat give birth but non have spent most of the time on their backs showing me their enormous tummies. Poor lass got herself into a bit of a state, but thankfully a happy ending. Five kittens in total. Back with me in peace and quiet now. Harriet only has to concentrate on her babies. This is her 2nd litter, she was thrown out when her owner realised she was pregnant again. Some humans are really annoying me. Of course she was going to get pregnant again. Harriet is a lovely cat, quite intelligent but even she couldnt get herself to the vets to get herself spayed. All it needed was for her owner to ask for help and we would spayed Harriet weeks ago. It would have been a great night last night for Harriet to have given birth outdoors, nice and cold with or without a struggle. Instead she has all mod cons and a warm comfy safe going on.This will be her very last litter....bless. Once she has done her job she can be homed with someone who wants her and will pamper her and not before time.
