The first picture posted was taken at our Veterans Parade last year. It was one of the most talked about pictures we have ever posted. It is our friend Jim, who is a Viet Nam veteran. He rode his motorcycle in the parade, in the pouring rain. Jim is back in town this week for the 2014 Veterans Welcome Home Parade. He always stops when he is in town....and we love it. We took these two pictures today, in front of the department. Jim rode his Harley 1,005 miles...from Mississippi....to be in the veterans parade again this year. He was so moved by all of YOU turning out in the rain last year. When we spoke today, one of the things he mentioned was his surprise at all of the people who showed up and cheered for the heroes. He said he had never seen anything like it. I thank all of you for being there for these men and women. It is all of you who make these veterans feel appreciated and loved.
