“The first thing that will be taken and removed from the people is the trust. The thing to be remained last is salat. There are many who perform salat but there is no goodness in the that.” (Hadith-i Sharef, El-Mucem El-Sagir) RAKATS OF FIVE DAILY PRAYERS Number of fard salats in five daily prayers; Fard of fejr salat is two rakats. Fard of zuhur salat is four rakats. Fard of asir salat is four rakats. Fard of magrip salat is three rakats. Fard of isha salat is four rakats. There are sunnat salats. These are; before the fejr salat there is two rakat muakkadah. If one comes to the masjid after the jemaat begin for the fard salat, it is sunnat for him, if thinks he can catch imam, to not to abondan and perform that at a location which will not break the line (saff). If he thinks that he can not catch imam, he immediately follows the imam. It can not be performed as qada salat after fard. But, he fard is left to qada, sunnat will be performed as qada with fard untill the zuhur salat. There is four rakat sunnat el-muakkadah before the fard of zuhur. If jemaat begins fard, one should follow imam and perform sunnat as qada. After fard of zuhur, there is two rakats of sunnat el- muakkadah. There is four rakats of sunnat el gayri-mukkadah before the fard of asr salat. It is not performed as qada after the fard salat. After the fard of maghrib, there is two rakats of sunnat el muakkadah. There is four rakats of sunnat el-gayri muakkadah before the fard of isha salat and there is two rakats of sunnat el- muakkadah after the fard of isha. If one abondans the sunnat of five daily prayers despite he belives them, he will be sinner and he can not reach shafaat (intercession of our Prophet (s.a.w.s)
