The first thing that’s obvious about Steve Hildebrand’s - TopicsExpress

The first thing that’s obvious about Steve Hildebrand’s cowardly, lying mess of an open letter is that he hates Republicans. HATES Republicans. He hates their policies and he hates them as people. Of course, anyone who thinks about his letter for a few seconds can see the contradiction in his message. Part of the goal of the letter warns Republicans that I’m really some sort of secret liberal. Online, this is called ‘concern trolling’; here’s a definition:A concern troll visits sites of an opposing ideology and offers advice on how they could improve things. Steve opens the letter like the condescending liberal that he is; the big smart Democrat man who needs to explain to the poor little conservative woman how easy it is to solve hunger and poverty. His solution: just promote whatever liberal policy of the day the Obama administration is pushing. Today it’s the minimum wage. Steve can’t help but fall back on government solutions—he believes it’s the government’s job to ‘create good jobs’ and raise the minimum wage. This sort of tired, useless rhetoric is why I launched HelpHeaHunger.org yesterday. Well, Steve, your former idol President Obama and is the one who has doubled the number of people on food stamps and more than doubled the budget for the food stamp program. Don’t lecture me or any Republican on who’s done what to cut the number of people on food stamps. The United States has tried your solutions; they cost hard working taxpayers money and make the recipients more dependent. The second obvious thing about Steve’s letter is that as much as he hates Republicans, he hates me and my family more. In the letter, Steve obviously even fantasizes about my husband and I being hauled off to jail. In a sense, Steve did me a favor by gathering up every absurd lie being spread about me by my political opponents in one place. I’ll be addressing the individual charges soon enough. The election is 20 days away and I’m not backing down one bit. I fully expect Steve to blow a gasket that I’m even responding to him. Like the worst of the liberals, he can’t stand a woman who has an opinion that doesn’t match his. So expect for him to lose control and stay on the warpath with more ‘open letters’ that do nothing but lie and make Steve feel tough. Just watch; I’m betting the world gets more of Steve’s wisdom in the next day. When we lost everything, we learned who our real friends were. Steve Hildebrand was not one of them. In the meantime, I’ll do what I’ve done for years—I’ll keep praying for Steve and I’ll keep fighting for my family and for South Dakota. Dr. Annette Bosworth
