The first week home was not at all what we had envisioned it would - TopicsExpress

The first week home was not at all what we had envisioned it would be, but I guess that should teach us just to take one day at a time and enjoy rather than looking forward to what might be tomorrow or next week. We were in the pediatric ER with miss Ellanie last night. She was having a lot of respiratory stress, so her visiting nurse strongly encouraged us to take her in. Thankfully, her heart and lungs looked pretty good but she tested positive for a type of influenza virus. What?? Already? Yes, already. Now we know just how fragile her little immune system is. We were given the choice to have her admitted or try to care for her at home. Its been exhausting but rewarding to finally be able to hold her and help her through her miserable day. I think at this point her respiratory stuff is under control. We are so thankful to be able to have her still at home and are also praising God for the little blessing in disguise of having Malachi safe with his favorite nurses trying to get strong again so he can come back home. So far we are all still healthy. Please pray for continued health for our family. Sleepless nights and busy days arent the best way to keep the immune system strong.
