The folded funeral flag. First Fold ---- Is a symbol of life. Second fold-- Is a symbol of eternal life Third fold ---- Is a symbol of honor and remembrance of our veterans. Fourth fold --- Represents our weaker nature, signifying that we must trust in God for guidance in times of both war and peace. Fifth fold ------ A tribute to the United States. Sixth fold-------For our hearts and devotion to the United States. Seventh fold---To honor the Armed Forces, because they protect our country. Eighth fold------For those who went into the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Nineth fold------ A tribute to the giving and nurturing nature of womanhood. Tenth fold ------ A tribute to father, for he gives children to defend the United States. Eleventh fold---- Dedicated to Jewish citizens, and represents the bottom of the seal of King David and King Solomon. Twelfth fold ----- Dedicated to Christian citizens, represents eternity and glorifies God. Once folded in its twelve parts, the red and white stripes are wrapped into the blue, signifying the light of day vanishing into the darkness of night.
