The folks who used to work with me will remember my saying the only regret I have in my life was that I did not wear my countrys uniform. I wanted to go into Armor as an 18-year old but my Dad talked me out of it. Told me to go fight if I have to - if it comes to that - but since your country was not behind you ( this is late 1974, post-Vietnam, and months before the fall of Saigon ; I still revulse today when I see those crow-foot emblems ), get a job, go home and see your family at night. I wanted to be a tank sergeant like Brad Pitt. I am waiting to see this movie to see exactly what it was like that I never had to do ( but I have read a ton on it ) ...... I think after seeing this I will probably be as speechless as I was after seeing Saving Private Ryan with my brother in 1998.
