The mention of Tucson on the list has a rather unpleasant description of our food scene. It aims to paint a picture of our city that is unfortunately kinda embarrassing. As a city we should really look at limiting the number chains that we line our streets with. As consumers we have some work to do on our commitment to buying local; would the chains be so invested in our market at the rate they are if our community wasnt supporting them? This city has many great local restaurants to enjoy and we all appreciate and need your support! Great stores, organizations, bars, hair stylist, spas, grocery stores, farmers, coffee roasters... Candle companies, honey harvesters...lets keep it local as much as we can. Maybe I am being too sensitive ;-) but I will be surprised if this blurb is how many of you actually see our city?
