The following is an email I received from Gene Bayne - if you would like a copy of this book on the area history message me or comment below with a YES and I will have Gene get in touch with you. Genes and his mother, Norma Bayne, have devoted many, many hours on preserving local history. I thank them for their determination and efforts in putting together this book: HISTORY OF LONE PINE The good news is that the History is completed, ready for printing. The bad news is we do not have nor can we get funding to help with the printing cost. The book is 103 pages long. It has over 325 pictures in the book. The pictures are almost 49% color and 51% black & white. The book has been updated to bring the history to the present day. We have listened to people about what they wanted to see and have taken some of these suggestions seriously and included their suggestions in the book. The cemetery records have been updated to show all veterans who are buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery up to and including the year 2013. The book will be printed on both sides of the paper. The book will be placed in a clear binder with a hard cover sheet on the back of the book. Printing the book in color is what is driving up the cost. The cost of the book is $35. So this is what we are going to need everyone to do………anyone who wants a book will have to pay for it first. As we get orders for 25 books, we will start the printing process. It will take between 1 – 2 weeks to get the books printed. So I need everyone who wants a copy of the book to do the following: 1.) Send us the money, either by check, money order, or cash. 2.) Please send me an e-mail that you have sent the money and who it was sent to (Mom or myself), so we can be on the watch for the money. 3.) Once we get enough money to get the books printed 25 at a time, we will get the books printed. 4.) As we get more orders for 25 at a time, we will get more books printed. 5.) Once the books are printed, we will send you the book. 6.) I will e-mail you when the book has been sent. You can send the money to either my mother or myself. (Their addresses will be sent through private message, I will not post that information that was in Genes email). If anyone has any problems with this, please let me know.
