The following is my Yearly Pastors Report, that I gave at our Feb. 23rd business meeting, and I will give it again at this years district assembly: Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I am continually reminded of the goodness of Christ and how He leads His people with the mighty Holy Spirit. How truly thankful I am to have the privilege of serving Him at Centerville Nazarene and I want to take this moment to brag on God a little bit! Over the past year we have asked for God to mold us into obedient people. Starting in March, we declared that as a church we want to get back to the basics and as a congregation begin to grow very deep in our walk with the Savior. We grasped the understanding that we are not called to build the church, only to make disciples. From that moment forward we saw many outstanding things happen at Centerville Nazarene: • We saw over 30 people accept Christ as their Savior • We brought on Pastor Eric and created a massive discipleship ministry • We now heavily disciple over 70 people each week • We brought on Pastor Kevin and began to evangelize our community • We now reach out to over 300 people each month outside our church • We have grown to a church of over 130 people • Our nursery has gone from 2 children to 12 • Our Children’s department has increased from 3 to 15 • Our Sunday Evening Service runs 60 attenders (Previously 25) • Our Wednesday evening service runs 50 attenders (Previously 20) • We became debt free and brought in over $20,000 more than any other year in our history. • We Skyped a Nazarene church in the Philippines into our morning service and worshipped with them. • We have expanded our reach by having our morning services televised on WCTV We have also started a Centerville Expansion Plan due to the increase in people at our church. This is a 3 phase plan: Phase 1-Adjustment of sanctuary to provide a 25% increase in seating and parking lot expansion. Phase 2-Expand the sanctuary west by 40 feet to provide 75% more seating capacity. Phase 3- Build new Sanctuary and classrooms. We are taking the CEP one step at a time and we will flex it to the growth rate of the church. I would like to take this moment and thank my wife of 8 years, Amanda Cook, for being my best friend and a great woman of God. She serves as our Children’s Pastor. I would also like to thank the other Associate staff, Pastor Eric Scalf (Discipleship) and Pastor Kevin Shonkwiler (Evangelism) for the dedicated and hard work that they do. Lastly, I would like to thank the amazing congregation of Centerville Church of the Nazarene for allowing me to be their pastor. I admire their love for God and obedience to Scripture and the overwhelming support they have for me and my family. May God continue to bless our church for many years to come! Respectfully Submitted, Rev. Joshua David Cook
